Ars Poetica
Poetry should be living,
Moving and shaping emotions.
It should be weaving in and out of your mind,
Beautiful and dancing.
Poetry should be saturated,
Colors abound in every line.
The blackest of blacks,
Followed by the bloodiest reds.
Poetry should be abundant,
Found on every street corner.
Perched in the sunlight like a cat,
Prancing down the street in plain sight.
Poetry should exist in the verbal world
As well as the written.
Poems should be spoken
Like tasting a pastry.
Delicate and golden,
Poetry should be living.
