“Outcast Culture: The truth is, outcasts find the beauty of people who look scrappy, rag-tag. This is noteworthy.”

I wrote this poem as an homage to Folk Punk, a subgenre of punk that is mainly acoustic, and features much more story-telling through the lyrics. This is my favorite subgenre, because it doesn’t pay attention to sounding good, it’s about human connection and being able to love the fact that you are outcast or on the fringes of society. The design is scrappy and dirty, and is meant to be harsh on the eyes. It also features a box train, a joke among the folk punk base about train hopping.
